- Ranch Horse Competition
1. Start at end of arena. Run down middle past center marker to a sliding stop. 10 points
2. Back at least 10 feet to center, 1/4 turn left. 10 points
3. Pickup right lead, big fast circle, small slow circle. 25 points
4. Change leads to left, big fast circle, small slow circle. 25 points
5. Change leads to the right, do not close this circle. 15 points
6. Run around end of arena and down the side (approximately twenty (20) Feet from fence) past center marker and come to a sliding stop. 20 points
7. Complete 3 1/2 spins to the right. 10 points
8. Continue back down side and end of arena to other side (approximately twenty (20) feet from fence) go past center marker and come to a sliding stop. 10 points
9. Complete 3 1/2 spins to the left. Hesitate to complete pattern. 10 points
10. Call for steer, box steer at end of arena. 15 points
11. Turn steer each direction along fence. 20 points
12. Rope steer and bring to a stop. 20 points
13. There is a three loop maximum and a ten minute time limit on this event. No extra points awarded for fast time. Judged out of a total of 190 points.
